Malaysia Promotion Roadshow (8/9–11) — Event Report

To advance international tour products in Malaysia, we implemented a matchmaking and promotion program.

Penghu Tourism briefings were held in three cities—Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, and Ipoh—primarily as in-person events, inviting high-potential local partner travel agencies and loyal customer segments.

At each venue, industry representatives delivered presentations on the charter-based “3-day-plus Penghu international tour” scheduled to launch in November 2025. The promotion covered island-hopping experiences in Penghu (Jibei, Yuanbei, Niaoyu, Houliou), marine-culture attractions (Yuwengdao Recreation Area, Hujing Islet), and key annual events (four-season itineraries, the Penghu Marathon, and the Guanyinting Fireworks Festival). The content was aligned with the “Crest of the Tropic of Cancer” flagship program and the Tourism Administration’s “Top 100 Tourism Highlights” policy framework to enhance product depth and policy linkage.

Beyond presentations, on-site instant registration and reservation mechanisms were set up so participants could enroll directly with local travel agencies, converting intent into bookings. We also conducted on-site consumer feedback to understand Malaysian travelers’ current awareness of Penghu, motivations, and product expectations, providing a basis for Penghu Tourism Circle operators to optimize international itinerary design and marketing materials.
