Penghu National Scenic Area Administration collaborates with the Tourism Circle to participate in the '2024 Singapore Autumn Travel Fair' - showcasing the charm of Penghu's four-season tourism.
To expand the Southeast Asian market, enhance the visibility of Penghu tourism, the Taiwan Tourism Bureau's Penghu National Scenic Area Administration (referred to as Penghu Administration), Penghu Tourism Circle, Penghu County Homestay Development Association, and Penghu County Tour Guide Association teamed up to participate in the '2024 Singapore Autumn Travel Exhibition and Tourism Promotion Event', dedicated to promoting the 'Four Seasons of Penghu' series of activities organized by Penghu Administration, including the distinctive experiential travel programs 'Spring Seagull Appreciation Season', 'Summer Chishingut Season', 'Autumn Strange Rock Season', and 'Winter Ancient Site Visit Season' as the main highlights, showcasing the depth and sustainability of tourism in Penghu throughout the four seasons. It is hoped that through this travel exhibition, the promotion range will be expanded and further promote Penghu as a year-round tourist destination.
According to statistics from the Taiwan Tourism Bureau, in the whole year of 2023, Taiwan welcomed over 460,000 Singaporean tourists, with a recovery rate of 100.7% compared to 2019, ranking as the top destination for Southeast Asian travelers to Taiwan. The number of tourists with sightseeing as their main purpose increased by 11.7%, indicating Singapore's high interest and demand for travel to Taiwan. In order to attract more Singaporean tourists to Penghu, the Tourism Circle gathered quality businesses such as Member Belecamp, Nanliao Windmill Organic Farm, Year after year Mackerel, Sea Dykes' Meistery, Chang Chun Grand Hotel, Penghu Bay Travel, Floating Whale, Language Rong Garden Homestay, Hsin Hsing Specialty, and Penghu Travelgood, exhibiting 19 experiential travel itineraries and business promotional materials, DM displays, showcasing the unique charm of Penghu products.
The Singapore Autumn Travel Exhibition runs from August 16 to August 18, with August 19 being the B2B Tourism Promotion Meeting. The Penghu Tourism Circle actively assists businesses in matching with local travel agencies in Singapore, enhancing exchange and cooperation between both parties. In addition to maintaining Taiwan's high popularity in the Singapore market, efforts are also made to further penetrate the Singapore outbound travel market. Penghu Administration also looks forward to allowing more Singaporean tourists to get to know Penghu through rich event experiences and quality tourism services, establishing Penghu's leisure island image and brand for sustainable tourism throughout the four seasons.
